2019 Wormsoakers Fishing Derby

At Lakewoods Resort Cable, Wisconsin.

This year there were 10 Muskies caught and released from a total of 50 fishermen at Lake Namakagon Wisconsin. Of the 10 Muskys caught, 9 were over 40" in length. The weather was a bit challenging for some, temperatures in the morning were in the mid 20's with snow and Northwest winds 15 to 25 mph. With whitecaps on the lake, only the heartiest ventured out into these challenging conditions. Wormsoakers group has come to Lakewoods Resort for 25 years to fish the second weekend of October . Next year will be the 29th year of Wormsoakers, October 9th and 10th 2020. Sadly Wormsoakers 2019 was without the original "Wormsoaker" Mr Bob Bell. Bob passed away on June 6, 2019 after a brief illness. I have created an Obituary web page in honor of Mr. Robert C.Bell.

The 2020 Wormsokers derby will continue in Bob's honor and memory, now organized by Anthony Smith from Rockford, Il. If your planning on attending the 2020 Wormsoakers Derby we need to know your information now.

Fishermen should send $275.00 to Tony Smith 1310 Kilburn Avenue, Rockford, Illinois 61101 . Please include your contact information and partner for our records.
